<p>Kforce has a client in Rockford, MI that is seeking an AP/AR Specialist.</p> <p>Job Summary: The Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist (Temporary) is integral to our client's Finance Department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and customer payments. This role directly supports healthy cash flow and strong vendor relationships. Success requires excellent communication, organizational skills, attention to detail, and professional discretion in handling sensitive financial information.</p> <p>Responsibilities include: Accounts Payable:</p> <ul> <li>Process vendor invoices with accurate coding; verify and match supporting documentation </li><li>Monitor AP inbox daily, route invoices for timely approvals, and promptly respond to vendor inquiries </li><li>Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor statements; identify and resolve discrepancies quickly </li></ul> <p>Accounts Receivable:</p> <ul> <li>Prepare daily bank deposits and accurately apply payments to customer accounts </li><li>Investigate and resolve discrepancies in customer payments promptly </li><li>Respond efficiently and professionally to customer billing or payment inquiries </li></ul> <p>General Finance Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain organized electronic records to ensure audit readiness and compliance </li><li>Complete special projects an additional finance-related task as assigned* Associate's degree in Accounting and Finance preferred; Relevant equivalent experience accepted </li><li>1-3 years of combined AP and AR experience (manufacturing environment preferred) </li><li>Strong foundational accounting skills (invoice processing, reconciliation) </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data sorting) </li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy </li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively </li><li>Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions </li><li>Employee may be regularly required to talk or listen, stand, walk, sit, stoop, crawl, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls </li><li>Specific vision disabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus </li><li>Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations </li><li>Prolonged sitting, typing, and lifting up to 20 pounds </li></ul>
