<p>The Nursing Informatics Specialist (NIS) supports all patient care services staff in the specialty area of Nursing Informatics. Responsible for assisting with implementation, evaluation and maintenance of assigned nursing informatics applications and projects. Serves as a nursing informatics resource, assisting with ongoing training, utilization of technology in the clinical setting and participates in rounding and providing "at the elbow" support in real time.</p> <p>Ability to:</p> <p>Effectively educate and motivate clinical staff at all levels.</p> <p>Quickly learn and apply computer-based concepts to clinical processes.</p> <p>Manage time and pace of instruction to ensure the effectiveness of training sessions.</p> <p>Ensure the integrity of all Stamford Health information and maintain confidentiality of all hospital, employee, and patient information.</p> <p>Conduct & manage special projects as assigned. This includes work breakdowns, task definition, team participation, coordination, and regular status reporting.
