Whatever your career goals may be, SMSC help get you there!</p> <p>Job Overview: Completes service, installation, and preventative maintenance of commercial HVAC&R and kitchen equipment.</p> <p>Create Your Path: The Work You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Installs, performs service, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance of heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration systems (HVAC&R), kitchen equipment, and other related equipment. </li><li>Communicates all necessary information pertaining to HVAC&R and related systems to Supervisor. </li><li>Monitors building temperatures and makes adjustments as necessary. </li><li>Responds to and assists in all building, equipment, or systems emergency situations involving the department. </li><li>Maintains tools, equipment, and work area. </li><li>Operates fire and life safety systems and related equipment. </li><li>Occasional tasks: </li></ul> <p>o Performs limited electrical work.</p> <p>o Assist with boiler operation and maintenance.</p> <p>o Participates in testing of fire and life safety equipment.</p> <p>o Marks up as-built drawings pertaining to HVAC&R systems for alterations and submits</p> <p>for conversion to CAD.</p> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <p>Reflects MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, CERTIFICATION and EXPERIENCE required in order to meet the expectations of this job:</p> <ul> <li>A combination of education and experience to equal 3 years in HVAC&R or related discipline. </li><li>Valid Universal Refrigeration license (required) </li><li>Basic Boiler Knowledge </li><li>Basic knowledge of computer operation for simple data entry or information retrieval. </li><li>Valid Class D driver's license may be required with a good driving record. </li><li>Industrial Truck Driving permit may be required (forklift). </li><li>Ability to work in a wide range of climate temperatures, including excessive heat and/or subzero temperatures. </li><li>Proficiency in maintaining safety while handling potential fumes, chemicals, odors, and/or noise. </li><li>Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodations, including on feet 90% of time. </li><li>Capacity to handle and lift up to 70 lbs. as needed. </li></ul> <p>Outstanding Benefits & Awesome Perks: At the SMSC, we are invested in our employees, as demonstrated by the competitive benefits we offer.
