Drug free work environment.</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Specialty Gas Fill Technician is responsible for the production of various gas calibration standards. Production encompasses performing initial chemistry on cylinder packages, developing / reviewing molar calculations for blends, and finally adding various components into a blended single mix. Analysis is then performed on the standard using various analytical equipment and methods to verify the mix against a known standard. The position works in a small team environment with a focus on safety and quality as we continue to grow.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Fill high pressure pure and mixed gases and liquified chemicals. </li><li>Review product orders to ensure mixtures can be produced safely and effectively. </li><li>Adjust product recipes as needed. </li><li>Assist in maintaining inventory of raw material and base mixed product for use in the production of specialty gases. </li><li>Operate manual and automatic instruments and equipment. </li><li>Comply with local, state and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, FDA, DOT, etc.). </li><li>Comply with Compressed Gas Association guidelines. </li><li>Comply with company quality management system policies regarding ISO 17025 and ISO 17034 standards. </li><li>Prepare product for shipment. </li><li>Troubleshoot and repair production and / or analytical equipment as necessary. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>4 years of college or equivalent experience preferred. </li><li>Basic math (algebra) abilities required. </li><li>English reading and writing required. </li><li>Microsoft Office (Excel, Word). </li><li>Able to lift 50-75 pounds and safely handle high-pressure steel and aluminum cylinders with approved equipment. </li><li>Must be able to process detail-oriented tasks with high reliability. </li></ul> <p>About Us:</p> <p>American Welding & Gas (AWG) is a manufacturer and distributor of industrial gases as well as a provider of all your welding supply needs.
