<p>Senior Investment Analyst, Investment Management Team</p> <p>This position will report into the Head of Credit on the Investment Management (IM) team. The IM team is composed of CFA charter holders, actuaries, and other investment professionals and is tasked with, among other things:</p> <p>Establishing the Enterprise Strategic Asset Allocation Tactical decision making with respect to asset class allocations vs targets Oversight of Talcott's investment managers Managing Talcott's derivatives and hedging portfolios. Asset-liability management Liquidity management Underwriting and selection of third-party asset managers Support for asset modeling across the enterprise</p> <p>Overview:</p> <p>This position is primarily responsible for working with external managers to maximize general account performance subject to various accounting, statutory and economic constraints while analyzing credit risk within the general account. The Senior Investment Analyst will furthermore oversee the external managers as part of Talcott's multi-manager investment platform. Additionally, our selected talent will have the opportunity to contribute across the value chain in Talcott's planned growth for its investment portfolio. Key accountabilities shall include:</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <p>Identify and quantify emerging credit risks within the General Account Monitor credit quality against risk tolerance and established limits Evaluate external manager performance vs quantitative and qualitative criteria Collaborate with external managers to understand investment rationale and relative value considerations Propose trading programs to enhance income, reduce capital and improve risk adjusted returns subject to constraints Develop and implement guidelines for external managers, taking into consideration statutory, contractual and enterprise limits Contribute to the development of Talcott's internal macroeconomic views relating to interest rates, credit spreads and equity markets Understand industry trends and regulatory developments which could pose risks or present opportunity for the General Account Support data review and aggregate information on investments Potential to underwrite and surveil investments within Talcott's Private Credit and Private Equity Alternatives portfolio</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree with a focus in finance, investment or risk management Minimum of 2 years of investment experience Demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate fixed income asset classes Possess an understanding of sectors' characteristics, liquidity, spread drivers, etc. Proficiency in Excel/SQL, including review and presentation of data analysis, familiarity with programming languages (VBA/R/Python) is a plus Understanding of U.S. statutory and Bermudan insurance regulations/requirements is a plus</p> <ul> <li>Note: This position can be located in our Connecticut or New York office.
