<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)</p> <p>This is a 10-month District position, non-union with benefits.</p> <p>Hours: Mon - Fri, 8:15 am - 3:15 pm.</p> <p>Salary: Competitive salary commensurate with certification and experience.</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The RBT will provide direct implementation of skills, instruction, and behavior reduction protocols based in the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) per treatment plan developed by a BCBA to support a student's academic, communication, social, and daily living skills and to reduce problematic behaviors in the school setting. The RBT will also monitor progress and work closely with the BCBA, assisting with assessments and staff training as needed.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Provides direct instruction and assists staff with implementation of individualized instruction and behavior change protocol. </li><li>Establishes and maintains a positive relationship with students and staff </li><li>Utilizes incidental teaching procedures as appropriate and fades prompts to facilitate successful and independent responding </li><li>Increases the frequency and/or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors as prescribed by the BCBA </li><li>Accurately records data on observable behavior including </li><li>Collaborates with BCBA/BCaBA and educational team members to provide interventions and support effectively </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) </li><li>Demonstrated skills with instructional technology </li><li>Demonstrated experience in meeting the needs of all learners </li><li>Aptitude, emotional maturity, and stability necessary for working with various types of children and professional staff </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li>Must be certified in Physical Management Training (PMT) </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Sedentary to medium strength needed to exert force up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Walking, sitting, or standing for extended periods of time. </li><li>Occasional climbing, crawling, frequent stooping, bending at the waist, kneeling, crouching, and reaching. </li><li>Ability to restrain students who become physically aggressive. </li><li>Hazards may include exposure to communicable diseases and contact with blood and other body fluids and exposure to physical injury from aggressive behavior. </li><li>Stamina to remain seated and maintain concentration in person and over the telephone. </li><li>Vision, including frequent near acuity, occasional far acuity, and able to read printed materials, VDT screens and other monitoring devices. </li><li>Requires the individual to meet multiple demands from several people and to effectively and appropriately interact with the public, students and staff </li></ul> <p>Application Process:</p> <p>To complete an online application.
