Together, the NDI and the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) offer a modern, healing atmosphere for all Hoosiers.</p> <p>Role Overview:</p> <p>The Clinical Services Officer (CSO) provides network-wide clinical leadership and oversight of the hospital network's central office, including the community services manager and forensic services manager. Serving as the senior clinical authority, the CSO ensures consistency in forensic evaluation practices, streamlines admissions and bed assignments, advances quality and compliance through centralized review processes, and supports optimal utilization of state psychiatric hospital bed capacity. By aligning hospital operations with clinical best practices, the CSO strengthens patient care outcomes while enhancing efficiency, transparency, and public safety.</p> <p>Salary Statement:</p> <p>The salary for this position traditionally starts at $109,304.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.</p> <p>A Day in the Life:</p> <p>Lead Program Strategy and Evaluation</p> <ul> <li>Establishes immediate or long-term goals for psychological services to guide departmental priorities. </li><li>Initiates, formulates, complies, and evaluates test and program data for research and/or continuous program evaluations to ensure effectiveness and improvement. </li></ul> <p>Coordinate Specialized Clinical Programs</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates or establishes behavior modification programs, drug abuse programs, programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities, or outpatient clinic programs to meet diverse patient needs. </li><li>Consults with personnel in other disciplines regarding psychological data, individual treatment programs, and program recommendations to support integrated care. </li></ul> <p>Advise on Budget and Institutional Planning</p> <ul> <li>Consults with and make recommendations to institutional administrators regarding department budget to align resources with program goals. </li><li>Makes recommendations regarding case disposition to the court or other legal authorities to support legal and ethical decision-making. </li></ul> <p>Oversee Training and Staff Development</p> <ul> <li>Supervises and maintains training programs for graduate students in clinical psychology and coordinate these training programs with university representatives to support academic partnerships. </li><li>Provides in-service training and staff development opportunities, including new employee training to build clinical capacity and onboarding success. </li></ul> <p>Deliver Clinical Documentation and Evaluation</p> <ul> <li>Writes psychological reports, social histories, transfer papers, and individual evaluations to support treatment planning and transitions. </li><li>Determines or evaluates the determination of a workable treatment plan for patients from test data to guide therapeutic interventions. </li></ul> <p>Manage Personnel and Performance</p> <ul> <li>Recruits, selects, onboards, and trains employees to ensure role responsibilities and expectations are clearly understood while providing opportunities to continue professional development. </li><li>Sets expectations, measure progress, provide ongoing feedback, and evaluate the performance of employees to ensure work adheres to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures. </li></ul> <p>The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
