In addition, the team provides analyses that lead to public disclosure associated with the business' strategy, financial performance, and industry trends for the Firm's presentations at Investor Day and industry conferences.</p> <p>As an Associate in the Global Banking (GB) Financial Analysis team, you will be responsible for running business and financial analytics and reporting for senior members of the GB sub line of business. This role is expected to create, maintain and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc) and conduct "deep dive" analyses on key issues impacting clients to determine root cause and propose solutions.</p> <p>Job responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with the dialogue with senior business leadership as well as stakeholders across the Commercial Bank to provide information on the business trends, financial performance, market strategy, competitive landscape and industry trends </li><li>Help prepare presentation materials and financial analytics for senior management business trends, financial performance, market strategy, competitive landscape and industry trends </li><li>Maintain and review financial models and analyses (both recurring and ad-hoc) </li><li>Conduct "deep dive" analyses on key issues impacting clients/business to determine root cause and propose solutions </li><li>Facilitating the development, consolidation and presentation of insightful and robust qualitative and quantitative financial analysis for key internal clients including senior management; participate and support ad-hoc special projects and requests as needed </li><li>Partner with Business Management and Analytics and Reporting teams to develop insightful reporting, focusing on drivers, and the "so what, now what?" dialogue </li><li>Will have exposure to senior management and the opportunity to drive value-add change by helping to simplify processes, accelerate automation, and enhance analytics and business support </li></ul> <p>Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:</p> <ul> <li>At least 3 years of experience with a BA/BS in Finance, Economics, Accounting and corporate finance </li><li>Understands a Bank's balance sheet and P&L </li><li>Experience in corporate financial analytics / understanding of key drivers </li><li>Exceptional analytical, problem solving and project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deliverables; strategic thinker </li><li>Excellent oral & written communication and relationship management skills </li><li>Strong technical and analytical skills, including Excel, PowerPoint </li><li>Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data, summarize key concepts and articulate appropriately </li><li>Strong work ethic; work well in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Proactive and have a sense of urgency, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines </li><li>The candidate must be a self-starter and seeks to break the status-quo and initiate improvements where necessary </li><li>Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:</p> <ul> <li>Management Consulting, Corporate Finance and/or Accounting experience preferred </li><li>Prior Essbase experience preferred </li></ul> <p>NOTE: This position is not eligible for sponsorship.</p>
