Prepares and analyzes District budget. Prepares monthly Board financial reports. Reviews and analyzes payroll accounting and files tax returns. Prepares financial analysis on expenditure, revenue, and budget data. Develops ad-hoc reporting of financial data.</p> <p>Qualifications: To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skills, and/or ability necessary.</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting. </li><li>School District experience preferred. </li><li>Strong Excel skills </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Excellent mathematical ability. </li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding in solving related problems. </li><li>Prior experience in similar occupation. </li><li>Proficiency in the use of technology for individual and system management, communication, and research. </li><li>Possess effective communication, judgmental, planning, and human relations skills. </li><li>Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements. </li><li>Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment. </li></ul> <p>Duties & Responsibilities: Employee must have the ability to perform the following essential functions on a timely basis with or without reasonable accommodations.</p> <ul> <li>Manages and analyzes the investment of all district funds in CD's, Money Markets, etc. </li><li>Manages and analyzes cash flow needs to ensure all District financial obligations are met. </li><li>Manages all cash receipts coming into the District. </li><li>Support the development of the annual budget and forecasts including actual analysis of variances and trends, and monthly expense/revenue reporting and analysis, and assist in preparing the Meritorious Budget Award Document. </li><li>Analyzes and reviews actual versus budget variances. </li><li>Analyzes payroll accounting to ensure every payroll is properly posted in the financial system. </li><li>Coordinate with Payroll Department to review payroll procedures and payroll transactions to ensure proper accounting and help implement controls. </li><li>Prepares and files all District quarterly and yearly payroll tax returns. </li><li>Prepares monthly financial reports for Board, including the Treasurer's reports Balance sheet, revenue/expenditure reports, and Investment report. </li><li>Oversee processing of relevant reports and returns including those required by state or federal agencies. (PURTA, Social Security) </li><li>Performs all budgetary transfers, obtaining Board approval as required. </li><li>Performs financial analysis on expenditure, revenue, and budget data in response to questions from management. </li><li>Manage internal queries as they relate to financial operations issues. </li><li>Assists in review and implementation of accounting procedures and processes. </li><li>Assists with student activity procedures and accounting as needed. </li><li>Assists with specific projects and assignments that arise. </li><li>Creates and maintains position procedure outline to describe day to day duties of the position/department as needed. </li><li>Provide day to day supervision and guidance to assigned staff; completing higher risk and higher complexity tasks and responsibilities as required. </li><li>Manage the performance of assigned staff including periodic goal-setting and performance evaluation. </li><li>Lead the identification and implementation of performance improvement opportunities within the department including automation, standardization, simplification, elimination of redundancies, and other best practices to increase the accuracy, throughput, and utilization of financial operations. </li><li>Assist in the assessment, design, and maintenance of relevant internal controls over financial operation processes. </li><li>Assist in the identification and implementation of cost savings/expense reduction opportunities. </li><li>Ensure compliance with organization policies and procedures. </li></ul> <p>This position description does not express or imply that these are the only duties to be performed by the incumbent(s) in this position. Employee(s) will be required to complete other job-related duties requested by the supervisor.</p> <p>Salary 2026-2027 School Year:</p> <p>$95,868 - $115,042 annually</p> <ul> <li>Placement upon salary scale is dependent upon years of experience in similar position. The plan includes double indemnity for accidental death and dismemberment.</p> <p>Optional Life Insurance</p> <p>You may also purchase additional life insurance as a supplement to the company paid benefit.</p> <p>Income Protection Benefits</p> <p>DASD provides income protection insurance at no cost to you. This provides income if you are disabled and unable to work. The benefit begins on the 61st day of disability or illness or the exhaustion of your sick days, whichever is later. Pays 60% of your basic monthly pay, up to $10,000 per month</p> <p>Life Benefit</p> <p>Pays 3x your basic annual salary up to maximum of $800,000</p> <p>Executive Flexible Benefits Plan</p> <p>You are provided funds equivalent to 2.5% of your annual base salary, up to a maximum of $2,500. This money is intended to fund healthcare-related expenses and will be disbursed as part of your paycheck.</p> <p>Insurance Waiver</p> <p>You may waive coverage for yourself and eligible dependents under the district's health insurance plan and receive a payment representing a portion of the premium, which the district would have paid. Depending upon coverage waived, administrators are eligible to receive up to $2,200 annually.</p> <p>Tuition Reimbursement</p> <p>100% of tuition for all graduate or doctoral courses, if grade of B' or better is attained. Cap $15,000/yr</p> <p>TSA Contribution</p> <ul> <li>3% of annual salary into 403(b) account after one year of service </li></ul> <p>Paid Time Off</p> <ul> <li>12 sick days annually </li><li>3 personal days annually </li><li>20 vacation days annually for 12-month staff; 1 additional day per year to a max of 30 days after 10 years as an administrator </li><li>Vacation payout for unused days - up to 10 days annually </li><li>19 paid holidays per year </li></ul> <p>Retiree Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Health Insurance </li></ul> <p>Can purchase insurance for retiree and spouse until the lesser of 10 years or age 65 for medical, prescription, dental and vision.
