Since 1979, we've created gear and apparel for people who live life without limits, delivering gear and apparel that empower them to push boundaries every day.</p> <p>The DTC Merchandise Planner plays a critical role in driving profitable growth across 5.11's Retail and E-commerce businesses. This role transforms data, market trends, and product insights into actionable merchandise strategies that optimize sales, inventory productivity, and consumer demand.</p> <p>This individual will support financial and inventory planning, monitor business performance, and partner cross-functionally to align assortments, replenishment strategies, and inventory investments with company objectives.</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze weekly business performance to identify risks and opportunities across sales, inventory, and product productivity; present insights and recommended actions to cross-functional teams </li><li>Monitor and manage key inventory metrics including sell-through, weeks of supply, stock-to-sales ratios, and inventory turns to maintain healthy inventory levels </li><li>Develop and manage merchandise financial plans, including sales, margin, inventory, and open-to-buy targets aligned to company goals </li><li>Partner with merchandising, omni-channel planning, and supply chain teams to plan assortments, floor sets, replenishment strategies, and product lifecycle transitions </li><li>Support promotional, markdown, and inventory optimization strategies to maximize sell-through and profitability </li><li>Build strong cross-functional relationships and clearly communicate insights to influence business decisions </li><li>Design, build, and scale reporting frameworks, dashboards, and planning tools using Excel, Power BI, and other analytics platforms </li><li>Leverage advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve forecasting, automate reporting, and generate actionable insights </li><li>Partner with data, IT, and analytics teams to enhance data infrastructure, reporting capabilities, and system integration </li></ul> <p>What You Bring:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Supply Chain, or a related field </li><li>3+ years of experience in merchandise planning, demand planning, or retail planning (apparel or consumer goods preferred) </li><li>Experience managing merchandise financial plans, including sales, margin, inventory, and open-to-buy </li><li>Advanced Excel skills (e.g., complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, financial analysis) </li><li>Experience building reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar analytics tools </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights </li><li>Experience leveraging advanced analytics or AI tools for forecasting and business analysis </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $80,000-$95,000 annually plus bonus based on experience</p> <p>5.11 offers a best-in-class benefits program including: medical, dental and vision insurance; a 401(k) program with employer match; employer-paid basic life and AD&D insurance.
