<p>JOB TITLE: Medical Technologist 3DWE - Blood Bank</p> <p>DEPT: Laboratory</p> <p>LOCATION: Maury Regional Medical Center - Columbia, TN</p> <p>SHIFT: 3 Day Weekend Plan. As a top-rated organization, we foster an inclusive, collaborative work environment where innovation and patient care lead the way.</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Medical Technologists are responsible for performing tests and reporting results for use in the diagnosis, treatment and/or monitoring treatment of diseases. Individual performs tasks, duties and/or complex tests in all areas of the laboratory assigned (hematology, bacteriology, chemistry, blood bank) according to established laboratory protocols and procedures. Medical Technologists conduct established quality control on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; evaluating results of quality control and implements corrective action when indicated. Individuals perform comparison studies of precision, accuracy, linearity, cost, suitability, etc. on new or existing procedures and reporting results in an established format. Individuals are responsible for correlating and interpreting data based on knowledge of physiological conditions affecting test results.
