The position is a full- time position with a work schedule of Monday through Friday 7:00am-4:00pm however weekends or after hours may be needed depending on the building necessities.</p> <p>Job Summary: The Building Engineer is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, routine and on-demand services on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. The Building Maintenance Engineer is also responsible for performing work in accordance with established processes and practices and for complying with internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection.</p> <p>Key Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Subject to legislative licensing requirements and company policy:</p> <ul> <li>Performs work in accordance with established processes and practices. </li><li>Complies with all internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, fire protection. </li><li>Performs regular facility, facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems monitoring and inspection, preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure facility uptime objectives are met, uninterrupted client operation and asset integrity of assigned facility are maintained. </li><li>Provides observations about facility, facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems conditions and deficiencies and provides suggestions for enhancement and repair. </li><li>Monitors assigned facility by conducting facility walkthroughs, mechanical and electrical equipment and system monitoring and inspection. </li><li>Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs mechanical and electrical building systems and equipment. </li><li>Responds to routine and on-demand service requests and performs preventative and corrective maintenance on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. </li><li>Records resolution data within service maintenance management database. Ensures work completed meets quality, contract response and all other requirements. </li><li>Receives, tracks, monitors and reports status of maintenance and repair work within service maintenance management database. Initiates document to obtain formal approval of work required. </li><li>Assists in the implementation of preventative maintenance (PM) program. Ensures that deficiencies are identified, recorded and escalated, and that related documentation is maintained. </li><li>Participates in and assists with facility-related projects. </li><li>Ensures the way work is performed in compliance with corporate and legislated policies, procedures, practices and guidelines related to environmental, health and safety, fire protection and any other applicable requirements. </li><li>Maintains all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement where required Submits all expenditures on a timely basis. </li><li>Assists in enhancing tenant and customer satisfaction and maintaining positive relations through the way work is performed and services delivered. </li><li>Maintain all the physical aspects of the building. </li><li>Maintain the heating and cooling equipment as well as the electrical infrastructure. </li><li>Perform all necessary repairs with no supervision. </li><li>Complete inspections of all systems and make the necessary repairs. </li><li>Ensure the building meets all local and Federal health and Disability codes. </li><li>Ensure the building meets all local building codes. </li><li>Supports Maintenance Technicians as needed </li><li>Perform maintenance repairs including but not limited to: </li><li>Paint/minor drywall repairs </li><li>Plumbing, appliance, and flooring repairs </li><li>Electrical repairs </li><li>HVAC repairs </li><li>Minor concrete repairs </li><li>Pressure washing </li><li>Building signage repairs </li><li>Locksmith repairs </li><li>Tenant Services </li><li>Other duties and labor as assigned </li></ul> <p>Knowledge & Skill Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>HVAC Certification (Preferred) and experience in commercial setting </li><li>Five years of experience as a Building Engineer or applicable work in maintenance </li><li>Expert Maintenance, HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical required </li><li>Ability to lift 50lbs, use ladder up to 30ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude </li><li>Have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written </li><li>Firm understanding Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word) </li><li>Ability to use computer software and iPhone IOS and applications </li><li>Ability to remain calm under pressure and pivot course as needed </li><li>Bilingual a plus (English and Spanish) </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>8-hour shift </li><li>Day shift </li><li>Evening shift </li><li>Holidays </li><li>Monday to Friday </li><li>Night shift </li><li>On call </li><li>Overtime </li><li>Rotating shift </li><li>Rotating weekends </li><li>Weekends as needed </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Plumbing: 2 years (Required) </li><li>Driving: 4 years (Required) </li><li>Microsoft Word: 3 years (Required) </li></ul> <p>Work Location: In person</p>
