<p>Overview</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>As Electric Boats backlog and work throughput increase, it becomes increasingly more imperative that the Electric Boat Information Technology (EBIT) organization work the right projects, at the right time, and within schedule and budget in order to support our growing business needs. In support of this goal the EBIT department has established the EBIT Project Management Office (PMO) that is responsible for the management of projects across all of EBIT.</p> <p>The PMO team is responsible for the following:</p> <ul> <li>Project, Program, and Portfolio Planning which includes, categorizing projects, evaluating projects, prioritizing projects, balancing project portfolios/programs, selecting the projects to fund, determining funding strategies, and authorizing selected projects. </li><li>Establishment and guidance for project management processes and best practices for EBIT. </li><li>Performance monitoring of all EBIT projects which involves regular project progress updates, as well as monitoring and analysis of project metrics. </li><li>Strategic Planning and Alignment with EB Functional Area Critical Business Needs </li><li>Program management for major IT programs such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Facilities programs. </li></ul> <p>As the team expands in size and responsibility, the organization is looking for highly motivated individuals to join the IT leadership team as EBIT PMO Supervisors. In this role, the PMO Supervisor will be responsible for leading teams of project managers responsible for the performance and delivery of IT projects including, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Establishing and maintaining EBIT PMO Standard Operating Procedures </li><li>Oversee IT Program and Portfolio Management including Project In-Take Processes </li><li>Oversee Financial Management for IT PMO and EBIT </li><li>Metrics and Performance Analysis </li><li>Resource Management </li><li>Stakeholder Communication </li><li>Risk Management </li><li>Continuous Process Improvement </li><li>Training and Development </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher </li><li>5 or more years of related work experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience supporting EB, Navy, or Government initiatives </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <p>PMO Supervisors are expected to provide day-to-day direction and guidance to a team of project managers, as well as the IT Project teams.
