<p>Position Title: Alcohol Compliance Representative</p> <p>Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour</p> <p>Position Purpose:</p> <p>Ensures compliance by patrons and vendors of all State and facility safety and alcohol laws and regulations. This is a seasonal temporary position not to exceed 122 days.</p> <p>Swing Shift: 3:30PM-12:00AM, shifts are subject to change based on business needs.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Patrols the fairgrounds property on foot to maintain compliance with State and facility alcohol laws and regulations. </li><li>Acts as ambassador for the OCFEC by answering inquiries from patrons, employees, business partners and guests, and responds to requests for assistance. </li><li>Ensures that safe practices are in effect and works proactively with others to promote a safe environment. </li><li>Works with Safety & Security Department staff and local law enforcement to investigates all alleged violations of alcohol laws and policies. </li><li>Prepares clear and concise written reports of investigations. </li><li>Deters crimes and addresses public safety issues. </li></ul> <p>This description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 21 years of age. </li><li>Ability to follow verbal instructions necessary. </li><li>Demonstrated excellent customer service skills a must, particularly in dealing with others in difficult situations. </li><li>Outstanding customer service skills a must. </li><li>Strong investigation and report writing skills necessary. </li><li>Must be available to work all 23 days of the annual OC Fair- mid July- mid August. </li><li>Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as demanded by events and programs. </li><li>Must be able to complete the facility's approved Alcohol Management training program and successfully pass the exam. </li></ul> <p>Preferences:</p> <ul> <li>Previous security experience, particularly dealing with alcohol compliance preferred. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is frequently required to walk, and must constantly use hands and fingers to operate, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.</p> <p>The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.</p> <p>Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.</p> <p>Work Environment:</p> <p>Will work in a fast-paced environment, mostly in outdoor locations during all types of weather. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
