<p>Job Description:</p> <p>$$ Sign on bonus up to $30,000 available $$</p> <p>Full time 36 hours, night shift</p> <p>About the Unit:</p> <p>Oncology is a 24 bed all private unit that is devoted to holistic care of cancer patients and their families. This challenging environment provides for development of critical thinking skills and head-to-toe assessments, including the care and administration of chemotherapy, pain management, and specialized cancer care. A basic understanding of dysrhythmias is required for oncology patients who may require cardiac monitoring. A multi- disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and massage therapists provide support to the oncology patients. New Graduate Nurses are welcome.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <p>The Oncology Nurse assesses and identifies patient needs and implements appropriate interventions. The Nurse establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently. Oncology nurses must have strong critical thinking skills while providing compassionate care.
