<p>Position: Temporary Seasonal Maintenance Assistants</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with and knowledge of the general principles of grounds maintenance. </li><li>Knowledge of and experience utilizing the tools and power </li><li>Equipment required for grounds maintenance. </li><li>Knowledge of safe work practices. </li><li>Physical capability sufficient to perform job tasks. </li><li>Valid CT driver's license. </li><li>High School Diploma or Equivalent </li></ul> <p>Reports to: Director of Operations</p> <p>Compensation: $16.35-$20.00 per hour based on previous experience</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities:</p> <p>Assist with the operation of lawn mowers, lawn tractors, weed trimmers and all outdoor grounds equipment.</p> <p>Assist with the landscaping of school grounds including planting, seeding, trimming grass, shrubbery and trees and related landscape activities.</p> <p>Assist with preparing the athletic fields for sports events.</p> <p>Assist with picking up paper, rubbish and debris on schools property.</p> <p>Assist with transporting refuse to dumping areas as required.</p> <p>Assist with performing painting and custodial work as assigned.</p> <p>Other Skills/Abilities:</p> <p>Capable of working independently without constant and continuous supervision.</p> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>The physical demands described herein are representation of those</p> <p>that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential</p> <p>functions of this job.
