This position requires both skill and heart-combining craftsmanship with a genuine desire to serve others. The Carpenter will uphold and demonstrate Jenkins Restorations' Core Values:</p> <p>C.E.D.A.R. - Can-Do Attitude, Excellent Execution, Do the Right Thing, Actions of a Servant, and Responsible Stewardship.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform insulation installation and drywall work, including all textures and finishes.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete interior and exterior painting to professional standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Execute rough and finish carpentry tasks with precision and attention to detail.</p> </li><li> <p>Assemble and install cabinetry and trim components.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform light plumbing and electrical repairs as needed to complete restoration projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Project Managers in carrying out residential repair scopes related to water, fire, and mold damage.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment on all job sites.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure project success.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Skills</p> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 5 years of related carpentry or remodeling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on training. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in general carpentry, framing, finishing, and installation work.</p> </li><li> <p>Skilled use of tools and equipment related to the trade.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bilingual (English/Spanish).</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with local building codes and construction standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience in restoration or insurance-related construction.</p> </li></ul> <p>Language & Reasoning Ability</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.</p> </li><li> <p>Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to effectively communicate with customers, team members, and management.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to unique or changing field conditions.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and communicate effectively.</p> </li><li> <p>Frequently required to climb, balance, kneel, or crawl.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li> <p>Frequent exposure to construction environments that may include moving mechanical parts, moderate noise, and varying weather conditions.</p> </li><li> <p>Occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, or risk of electrical shock.</p> </li><li> <p>Appropriate safety equipment is provided and required at all times.</p> </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>This position may occasionally oversee subcontractors or assist less experienced carpenters. </li></ul> <p>Join Our Team</p> <p>If you take pride in your craftsmanship and want to use your skills to serve others, we invite you to apply.
