<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Inspect, service, repair and maintain export terminal equipment including but not limited to rail car dumpers, conveyors, and ship loaders.</p> <p>Primary Activities and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety, operations and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) </li><li>Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in export terminal equipment components. </li><li>Rivet, bolt, glue, braze or weld to fabricate, modify or design replacement parts for equipment </li><li>Fabricate, cut, shape, and perform finish operations using various types of materials </li><li>Perform periodic service on export terminal equipment </li><li>Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager. </li></ul> <p>Pay Rate</p> <p>$41.08/hour full rate</p> <p>Training</p> <p>You will attend on the job training and orientation</p> <p>Schedule</p> <p>Monday - Friday 0700 - 1530</p> <p>Rest Days: Saturday and Sunday</p> <p>NOTE: SCHEDULE SUBJECT TO CHANGE FOLLOWING INITIAL 90 DAY TRAINING PERIOD</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma/GED </li><li>18 years of age or older </li><li>Valid Driver's License </li><li>One year mechanical work experience or training </li><li>One year experience reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Two years' experience servicing large electro-mechanical equipment </li><li>Completion of a mechanical vocational or trade school program </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Heavy work, lifting up to 70 pounds occasionally and up to 100 pounds on a rare basis </li><li>Stoop/bend/kneel/crouch/crawl/balance/climb </li><li>Exposure to equipment that intensifies the heat factor on an occasional basis </li><li>Safety Policy on Weight Limitations of Equipment </li><li>Employees must complete the Weight Limitation Survey prior to bidding or bumping to any position that requires the Safety Policy on Weight Limitations of Equipment </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Work safely to prevent on the job accidents and injuries </li><li>Wear protective equipment such as hard hat, hearing protection, or safety-toe boots </li><li>Work hours may include a nonstandard workweek, overtime, and various shift work </li><li>Complete annual training and pass safety rules examinations </li><li>Must pass all required assessments </li><li>Must pass a background screening </li><li>Must pass a post-offer medical examination, including a drug test </li><li>This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement and membership is req. </li></ul>
