The RN's primary job function is to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individual patient care on a nursing unit according to unit policies and procedures. Supports each strategic value by providing excellent care to those we serve. Performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required </li><li>Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required </li></ul> <p>Licensure:</p> <ul> <li>Licensed to practice as an RN in Ohio required </li><li>BLS within 90 days of hire required </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>None. </li></ul> <p>JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS</p> <p>The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job. Specific activities may change from time to time.</p> <ol> <li> <p>Completes nursing assessment of patients and documents appropriately on patient record.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops, evaluates and updates the plan of care based upon the assessment of the patient.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates and collaborates with physicians and other health team members in developing a plan of care.</p> </li><li> <p>Initiates, manages, and participates in discharge planning process.</p> </li><li> <p>Implements, delegates, and coordinates patient care.</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitates patient/family teaching as appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in hourly rounding and bedside shift report.</p> </li><li> <p>Answers call lights and responds to patient needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs total patient care.</p> </li><li> <p>Pre-cleans, decontaminates and transports contaminated instruments according to policy</p> </li><li> <p>Performs intermediate-level disinfection and/ or high level disinfection per the Instructions for Use (IFU) by the manufacturer.
