<p>Akkodis is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineering Developer for a Contract with a client in Chicago, IL. You will design and develop robust Java components using Spring Boot to support scalable cloud-based applications.</p> <p>Rate Range: $55/hour to $59/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.</p> <p>Senior Cloud Engineering Developer job responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Designing and developing Java components using Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and modern Java (Java 17).</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborating with SQA teams to support testing, validation, and deployment of developed components.</p> </li><li> <p>Gathering requirements, analyzing user needs, and contributing to application architecture, flow diagrams, and technical specifications.</p> </li><li> <p>Writing clean, efficient, well-documented code and implementing modern testing practices using JUnit and Mockito.</p> </li><li> <p>Debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing applications while guiding junior developers through complex issues.</p> </li><li> <p>Working with cross-functional teams to build cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure services, databases (Snowflake, SQL, MongoDB), Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).</p> </li><li> <p>10+ years of overall software development experience, including 7+ years of hands-on Core Java development.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong expertise in Java 17, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and modern testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced experience with Microsoft Azure (AKS, APIM, Key Vault, Front Door, App Gateway) and cloud-native development, including Docker, Kubernetes, and messaging systems like Kafka.</p> </li></ul> <p>If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
