<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Transportation/Bus Aide</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>8/21/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Flat Rock Community Schools</p> <p>District:</p> <p>&nbsp Flat Rock Community Schools&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Posting Date:</p> <p>Thursday, August 21, 2025</p> <p>Position:</p> <p>Special Education School Bus Aide</p> <p>Hours based on route (4-hour minimum)</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Must have a positive attitude and willingness to work well with others </li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Experiences with physically and mentally challenged persons. </li><li>Ability to document safety issues and incidents. </li><li>CDL with P and S endorsements recommended, but not required. </li></ul> <p>Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the boarding and de-boarding of students. </li><li>Attend to the needs of students based on their IEP. </li><li>Assist the driver by maintaining student discipline as approved by the Transportation Director. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with bus driver. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of rules and regulations promulgated by local, state, and federal agencies. </li><li>Be alert and exercise good judgment concerning emergencies and day-to-day operations. </li><li>Keep accurate records and reports as required, submit in a legible condition, and turn in at the specified time. </li><li>Conduct yourself as a professional Transportation staff member at all times. </li><li>Secure all equipment that is required for each passenger. </li><li>Be able to lift, store, and disassemble/assemble equipment required by the passenger. </li></ul> <p>Salary & Benefits:</p> <p>As per the FRESPA contract, the starting rate for 2025-2026 is $16.03/hour</p> <p>Posting Deadline:</p> <p>Until filled.</p> <p>Send credentials, letter of intent, and resume/application to:</p> <p>John Horvath, Director of Shared Services</p> <p>jhorvath@flatrockschools.org</p>
