<p>Shenandoah University invites applications for the position of Assistant Women's Basketball Coach. This is a full-time benefitted positon located on our main campus in Winchester, Va.</p> <p>This full-time position assists the Head Women's Basketball Coach with all aspects of an NCAA Division III women's basketball program.</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting with recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes </li><li>Practice planning, skill instruction, and game preparation </li><li>Opponent scouting, video exchange, and film breakdown </li><li>Supporting scheduling, team travel, and program operations </li><li>Monitoring academic progress and supporting student-athlete success </li><li>Ensuring compliance with NCAA Division III, ODAC, and institutional regulations </li><li>Serving as a positive representative of the university and athletics department </li></ul> <p>Required Skills</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred </li><li>1-3 years of collegiate coaching experience preferred </li><li>Previous collegiate playing experience preferred </li><li>Demonstrated ability to recruit and work with student-athletes in an academically rigorous environment </li><li>Strong organizational, communication, and technology skills </li><li>Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required </li><li>Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion </li></ul> <p>How to Apply:</p> <p>The complete application will include a cover letter, resume, and contact information for three professional references.
