<p>Chemistry/Engineering Lab Technician</p> <p>Hours: Mon- Fri from 8am - 4:30pm | Materials Science | Research & Development Company</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Chemistry Lab Technician will play a key role in the development, evaluation, and validation of innovative technologies to position the company as a market leader in our target markets.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Set up and conduct chemical experiments, tests, and analyses, including design verification and method validation. </li><li>Conduct programs of sampling and analysis to maintain quality standards of chemical intermediates. </li><li>Operate experimental laboratory test equipment and procedures. </li><li>Understand and follow instructions and specifications of engineers and other team members. </li><li>Adapt to a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and understand standard test methods. </li><li>Assist in the creation of new test procedures as necessary. </li><li>Select and set up the required lab equipment for tests, experiments, and analyses. </li><li>Prepare chemical solutions and buffers, document test results per lab standards, maintain and properly store lab supplies. </li><li>Keep the laboratory neat and clean and sterilize all work surfaces and equipment. </li><li>Demonstrate willingness to learn and understand the background of projects or tasks. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field is preferred. </li><li>Experience in writing technical reports. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position operates on a 1st shift, Monday-Friday, on-site in a lab environment. The role involves working in various labs depending on the task. The company provides a renovated campus with amenities such as upgraded kitchen and lounge areas, a cafeteria, and outdoor spaces.
