<p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>A Registered Nurse who, under the direction of the nursing leadership is responsible for planning, directing, implementing, coordinating, and evaluating nursing care for a specific unit during her/his shift. </li><li>Receives report from previous shift, making sure that he/she has received all pertinent information on each resident. </li><li>Continuously evaluates behavior, symptoms, reactions and progress of residents and discusses findings with Nurse Manager/Charge Nurse. </li><li>Administers and documents all medications according to established policies and procedures, physician's orders and Department of Health regulations. </li><li>Performs all treatments according to physician's specific order and established policies and procedures. </li><li>Discusses the need to discontinue or change a medication of treatment with the Nurse Manager/ Charge Nurse. </li><li>Orders prescribed medications, notifies pharmacy of discontinued medications: and ensures accuracy of medications and dosages when received from pharmacy. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current NY State Registered Nurse License </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Associate Degree </li><li>BSN Preferred </li></ul>
