<p>Job Description</p> <p>Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III - Roadway Design Transportation Group candidate to join our Roadway Design Transportation Group located in our Raleigh, NC office location.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Lay out horizontal alignments and vertical profiles for road widening projects </li><li>Model and design roadway improvement projects using AutoDesk Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads Designer </li><li>Use 3D visualization software for client and public communication presentations </li><li>Develop plan sheets and compile project packages for project submission </li><li>Complete roadway and drainage calculations utilizing software and reference material </li><li>Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates </li><li>Research and download available GIS open-source data </li><li>Complete field observations and data collection for office use and project discussion </li><li>Learn new technology to advance own skill set and group knowledge </li><li>Attend project meetings with clients and contractors </li></ul> <p>Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelors or master's degree in civil engineering or closely related field </li><li>Ideal candidates would have at least two years of experience in transportation civil engineering related to roadway design </li><li>Bentley OpenRoads Designer proficiency preferred </li><li>AutoDesk Civil 3D proficiency preferred </li><li>VDOT experience preferred </li><li>EIT preferred </li></ul>
