<p>Tenet Healthcare and the St. Francis Health System are seeking an experienced Cardio Thoracic Surgical / Cardio Vascular Surgical Physician Assistant for our facility in Memphis, TN.</p> <p>Our provider's time would be spent with a healthy mixture of OR time and inpatient rounding allowing you to keep all aspects of your skills sharp. Endoscopic Vein Harvesting experience would be a huge plus.</p> <p>This will be a full time position and would include a full benefits and compensation package with access to: Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, CME allowance, PTO, and access to other additional benefits associated with the Tenet name.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>General Summary: Under a collaborative agreement with a physician, provides patient care and education to assigned caseload of patients in accordance with established midwifery practice guidelines.</p> <p>Essential Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources. </li><li>Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement. </li><li>Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner. </li><li>Provide physician assistant services to patients as directed by the physician's patient care plan and supervised by the physician </li><li>Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with TPR policy. </li><li>Fulfill all duties assigned by physician </li><li>Reports to the attending physician of any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment </li><li>Participates in patient review conferences and staffing </li><li>Assists the physician as follows, but not limited to Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, Safety Committee activities </li><li>Adhere to the established policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources Orders and interprets the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management. </li><li>Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures. </li><li>Conducts health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, as appropriate, enabling the client to make informed choices about health and treatment options. </li><li>Provides consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory and clinic assistant staff. </li><li>Orders medications. </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Education: Graduate of an approved and accredited Physician Assistant master's program.</p> <p>Certification: Physician Assistant license to practice in the state.
