<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The building substitute paraeducator serves as building substitute in the absence of a classroom teacher; provides support to classroom teachers and office staff when not substituting; performs other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree required; CT Teaching Certification preferred. Knowledge of general concepts of child growth, development, and instruction; flexibility to adapt to varying school settings, schedules and classrooms; ability to work well with staff and students. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle detailed work. Familiarity with computerized systems. Hourly rate and benefits in accordance with the negotiated agreement between the Berlin Board of Education and Local 1303-276 of Council 4 AFSCME, AFL-CIO.
