<p>The Mobile Food Pantry Worker is responsible for driving and operating the Mobile Food Pantry to food desert areas of Pike County multiple days per week. This role supports food distribution efforts by assisting with loading, unloading, inventory, and direct customer service, while working closely with partner agencies to ensure access to nutritious food for vulnerable populations.</p> <p>Mobile Food Pantry Worker</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>Functional Area: Customer Assistance and Customer Service</p> <p>Estimated Effort: 70%</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and maintain constructive, cooperative working relationships with peers, supervisors, clients, vendors, and partner agencies</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate and maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times</p> </li><li> <p>Provide courteous and professional customer service to pantry clients</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with data collection and reporting as required</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with PantryTrak data entry when necessary</p> </li><li> <p>Answer telephone calls professionally, route calls appropriately, and take messages as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with food distribution setup and breakdown</p> </li><li> <p>Compile and distribute food boxes in a kind, respectful, and professional manner</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain confidentiality of all client and program information</p> </li><li> <p>Drive the Mobile Food Pantry truck three (3) to four (4) days per week to remote food desert areas of Pike County</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with daily pantry operations including unloading trucks, stocking shelves, and general site support</p> </li><li> <p>Complete food and household item inventory and temperature checks</p> </li><li> <p>Lift and carry items weighing up to forty (40) pounds</p> </li></ul> <p>Functional Area: Other Responsibilities / Task Assignments</p> <p>Estimated Effort: 30%</p> <ul> <li> <p>Attend meetings, conferences, and training sessions related to the position and share information with appropriate staff</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain insurability under agency insurance policy</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor in alignment with agency policies and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety policies and procedures</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li></ul> <p>Job-Related Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Customer service experience </li></ul> <p>People Management Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Not applicable </li></ul> <p>Licenses, Certifications, and Accreditations:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Valid driver's license</p> </li><li> <p>Must be insurable under agency insurance policy</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge of Pike County and surrounding service areas</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with local social service resources</p> </li><li> <p>Experience driving a transport vehicle three (3) to four (4) days per week</p> </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Work schedule and locations vary based on program needs and supervisor discretion</p> </li><li> <p>Requires driving to remote locations within Pike County</p> </li><li> <p>Physical requirements include lifting up to 40 pounds and frequent standing, walking, and bending</p> </li><li> <p>Work attire required per departmental guidelines</p> </li></ul>
