<p>Support North America Distribution Centers' operating teams by managing the financial activity on monthly basis. Prepare various financial reports for DC management team as well as corporate management team. Assist with annual price updates for the Distribution Centers.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <p>Weekly prep, review and coordination of the Open PO CLP file with Lawrenceville, Phoenix, Reno, Salem, Canada and Mexico staff. Prepare billing file on monthly basis for shipments to the operating market center locations. Prepare monthly journal entries for the Distribution Centers. Entries include sales and billing, inventory adjustments and various accruals. Clearly document sources of data and reasoning for entries. Review on a monthly basis preliminary financial statements, both balance sheet and operating statements, for all Distribution Centers. Prepare any necessary journal entries for final close based on the review of the statements. Also prepare a written analysis of variances to projection for Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance. Download and prep the monthly inventory files from the inventory system. Prepare monthly inventory reconciliation and present it to upper management on a monthly basis. Prepare detail analysis of purchase price variances. Prepare various monthly reports such as inventory summary, etc. Prepare balance sheet accounts reconciliation package for Distribution Center's on a monthly basis. Prepare quarterly reporting for Vestis corporate management. Assist lead accountant with DC pricing update for management review with explanations for changes. Once approved upload pricing changes into the inventory system. Co-ordinate the efforts with the DC personnel as well as IT support team. Participate in annual budget preparation. Complete ad-hoc reporting to support business analysis questions from the operations team as well as corporate management. As duties and responsibilities become clearer to support the field inventory accounting and control requirements (formerly carried out by the since departed manager of inventory), tasks will be assigned in this area. Perform other duties as required or assigned.</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.</p> <p>Knowledge/Skills and Experience:</p> <p>5 to 7 years of prior general accounting experience or 2 to 3 years of public accounting experience. Strong spreadsheet experience required including pivot tables and Vlookup. Good written and oral communication skills. Work well with operations team as well as upper management. Oracle Financials knowledge strongly preferred. Organized, flexible, self-starter. Ability to complete projects/tasks on time with minimal supervision. Must be able to manage own schedule, alerting supervisor if circumstances change. Solid problem-solving skills, which include well-supported proposed solutions to issues.</p>
