<p>Nuvance Health has a network of convenient hospital and outpatient locations - Danbury Hospital, New Milford Hospital, Norwalk Hospital and Sharon Hospital in Connecticut, and Northern Dutchess Hospital, Putnam Hospital Center and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in New York.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>Under the direction of the DOP, the pharmacy manager oversees the day to day operations, resolving problems, ensuring safe, literature based, and cost effective medication management.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Responsible for the proper utilization of resources (supplies, drugs, staff) within the department by implementing & monitoring initiatives to ensure the department is fiscally responsible</p> </li><li> <p>Hires, Manages staff and participates in the annual staff evaluations, on going coaching and mentoring and employee rounding.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages scheduling, day to day assignments and payroll</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates the efficient distribution of medications to meet the needs of the patients.</p> </li><li> <p>performs necessary audits, rounds with employees, and actively participates in dept huddles to ensure performance and keep open communications</p> </li><li> <p>Actively participates in all committees and work groups to support the department, local and system wide improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Precepts PGY1 pharmacy residents and pharmacy school students in applicable practice setting.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties as assigned.</p> </li></ol> <p>Other information:</p> <p>Doctor of Pharmacy or BS with 5yr in acute pharmacy practice; Licensed RPh in applicable state (NY or CT); 3 years experience in a leadership role; Preferred: PGY1 Residency</p> <p>Location: Vassar Brothers Medical Center</p> <p>Work Type: Full-Time</p> <p>Standard Hours: 40.00</p> <p>FTE: 1.000000</p> <p>Work Schedule: Day 8</p> <p>Work Shift: Mon-Fri 7a-330p</p> <p>Org Unit: 1181</p> <p>Department: Pharmacy</p> <p>Exempt: Yes</p> <p>Grade: L4</p> <p>Salary Range $65.8000 - $122.2100</p> <p>Working conditions:</p> <p>Essential:</p> <ul> <li>Significant manual skills / motor coord & finger dexterity </li><li>Some occupational risk </li><li>Medium to Heavy effort.
