<p>Hiring Department</p> <p>Campus Dining Services</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>This position includes basic food preparation (ie. building sandwiches/pizza, etc.) service (plating food), and/or sanitation tasks. Demonstrate procedures for food preparation (e.g., roasting, sautéing, frying, baking, steaming, mixing; knife skills) and equipment operation.</p> <p>Prepare food according to instructions. Follow proper food handling techniques. Assist in completing the Serving Line Worksheets. Maintain a clean, sanitary, safe, and secure working area. Set up service/preparation areas as assigned. Provide high-quality service to customers; assist in meeting the department's customer service objectives. Direct, help train, and assist student employees in food preparation and service. Clean and replenish the service/preparation areas, dining room, and dishwashing/pot-and-pan areas during and after service. Complete required training. Help the department constantly improve and reach its vision. Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Shift</p> <p>Monday-Friday 9am-6:00pm</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>A job offer for this position is contingent on passing a physical examination to determine if the candidate possesses the physical capabilities necessary to perform the essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. </li><li>Six months experience in the preparation and service of food in an institutional or commercial food service facility. </li><li>Knowledge of basic food preparation, including basic knife skills, and service and sanitation methods. </li><li>Ability to handle and lift heavy kitchen utensils and supplies (e.g. 40 pounds) </li><li>Good physical health. </li><li>Customer service and supervisory experience with a desire to provide high-quality customer service is strongly preferred. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Desired Core Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>Dependability </li><li>Communication skills: verbal, written, and through email </li><li>Self-motivated </li><li>Detail oriented to enter preferred qualifications </li></ul> <p>Anticipated Hiring Range</p> <p>Salary Range: $16.30 - $17.50 hourly</p> <p>Grade: GGS C</p> <p>University Title: FOOD SERVICE WORKER II</p> <p>Internal applicants can determine their University title by accessing the Talent Profile tile in myHR.</p> <p>Other Information</p> <p>At Mizzou Dining Services, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, nutritious, and a variety of dining options that fuel the University of Missouri community.
