Here, you will work alongside passionate and dedicated caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.</p> <p>As an MRI Technologist, you will perform routine MRI exams and procedures on patients of all ages, health backgrounds, and conditions. You will ensure they feel comfortable, safe, and properly informed throughout the entire process, helping facilitate a welcoming and supportive experience. In this role, you have access to a unique avenue in which to enhance your skills using the latest technologies and leave a positive lasting impression on patients every day.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00AM - 5:30PM or 9:00AM - 7:30PM, with on-call requirements.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Prepare and check patients prior to MRI procedure.</p> </li><li> <p>Acquire and review patient questionnaire, chart and data/requisition to determine contraindication of having MRI examination.</p> </li><li> <p>Verify and validate the patient screening safety form.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform MRI procedures required per protocol and perform daily QA.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform venipunctures.</p> </li><li> <p>Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, equipment and exams.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure patients' comfort and safety during and after the exam.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with scheduling patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Administer proper contrast related to patient having MRI exam.</p> </li><li> <p>Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete after-hours transmission of images and appropriate paperwork.</p> </li><li> <p>Immediately report any malfunctions, observe potential equipment dysfunctions and report problems or call for service.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain available equipment up-time at the highest level for patient accessibility.</p> </li><li> <p>Process billing via RIS.</p> </li><li> <p>Potentially rotate through all imaging modalities, sites, and/or locations.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or graduate of an accredited institution per the primary pathway of the ARRT</p> </li><li> <p>Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(R) (ARRT), or R.T.(S)(ARRT), or R.T.(T)(ARRT), in good standing</p> </li><li> <p>OR Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists R.T.(N) (ARRT) in good standing</p> </li><li> <p>OR Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. ARDMS and NMTCB are primary pathways</p> </li><li> <p>Certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging: R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of hire</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist or experience in other imaging modalities </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.</p> </li><li> <p>Requires frequent pushing and pulling of equipment up to 75 pounds.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $32.00</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $47.50</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate's work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.). The pay range does not include the value of Cleveland Clinic's benefits package (e.g., healthcare, dental and vision benefits, retirement savings account contributions, etc.).</p>
