<p>Job Title: Buyer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>This position involves performing all duties related to purchase order entry and post-entry supply chain tracking. The role requires interaction with both foreign and domestic suppliers to maintain pricing and delivery scheduling, as well as serving as a liaison between Plant Production and Suppliers. The successful candidate will be able to procure required materials by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders to approved vendors.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Enter and track purchase orders accurately. </li><li>Maintain pricing and delivery schedules with suppliers. </li><li>Serve as a liaison between Plant Production and Suppliers. </li><li>Procure required materials by verifying and forwarding purchase orders to approved vendors. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of experience as a buyer in a low volume, high mix manufacturing environment. </li><li>Proficiency in purchasing, ERP, and supply chain management. </li><li>Experience with MRP systems, preferably Microsoft Business Central. </li><li>Strong negotiation and communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel. </li><li>Ability to work independently and be a self-starter. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>APICS Certification is a plus. </li><li>Ability to learn quickly and build upon acquired knowledge. </li><li>Minimal travel may be required. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is set in an onsite office environment with a manufacturing facility and shipping/receiving area.
