<p>Overview</p> <p>United Community is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Manager to lead the preparation and review of SEC filings, support business units with accounting processes, and contribute to strategic projects such as acquisitions, policy development, and technology upgrades. This role plays a vital part in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Lead the preparation, review, and filing of SEC reports (10-Q, 10-K, 11-K) with supporting documentation. </li><li>Ensure data integrity by obtaining certifications from data providers and challenging inconsistencies. </li><li>Research and implement new accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements. </li><li>Integrate acquired entities into the financial reporting process. </li><li>Maintain SOX compliance and documentation. </li><li>Support additional filings (8-K, Rule 425, proxy statements, registration statements). </li><li>Maintain lease accounting records and support related journal entries and reporting. </li><li>Contribute to special projects including acquisitions, policy drafting, process improvements, and automation initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Requirements For Success</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or Finance. </li><li>CPA license required. </li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in banking and/or public accounting with a focus on financial institutions. </li><li>Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and SEC filing tools (e.g., Workiva/Wdesk). </li><li>Strong knowledge of SEC regulations (Reg S-X, S-K, Industry Guide 3, Reg G). </li><li>Expertise in GAAP, especially as it applies to financial services (e.g., derivatives, business combinations). </li><li>Experience with XBRL tagging and financial disclosure requirements. </li><li>Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines, including evenings and weekends as needed. </li><li>Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative. </li></ul> <p>Conditions of Employment</p> <ul> <li>Must successfully pass a criminal background and credit check. </li><li>This is a full-time, on-site position (non-remote). </li><li>Requires schedule flexibility. </li><li>Up to 10% travel may be required, primarily for training. </li><li>FLSA Status: Exempt. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>USD $68,287.00 - USD $113,209.00 /Yr.</p>
