This position will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and mobilizing equipment as per manufacturers' specifications. All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of JE Dunn.</p> <ul> <li>Autonomy & Decision-Making: Follows directions and refers all exceptions to supervisor. </li><li>Career Path: Senior Equipment Technician </li></ul> <p>Key Role Responsibilities - Core</p> <p>EQUIPMENT TECHNICIAN FAMILY - CORE</p> <ul> <li>Subject matter expert for one or more equipment lines of the Blue Hat rental fleet. </li><li>Performs routine preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on breakdowns for equipment per manufacturers' specifications. </li><li>Leads on-site assembly/disassembly activities on selected specialty equipment lines. </li><li>Instructs customers on proper operation and maintenance of equipment as required. </li><li>Troubleshoots equipment breakdowns on site or over the phone with Field Operations using effective communication skills. </li><li>Documents accurately (on paper or digitally) completed maintenance, repairs and inspections on equipment per company processes. </li><li>Communicates in a timely manner with internal and external business partners by answering phone calls and responding to emails for maintenance related questions. </li><li>Orders parts for equipment repair utilizing the internal process. Determines correct parts using the manufacturers' requirements and specifications. </li><li>Receives, organizes, stores, and distributes equipment, parts, and supplies as needed. </li><li>Coordinates and organizes efficient storage of Blue Hat fleet. </li></ul> <p>Key Role Responsibilities - Additional Core</p> <p>N/A</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner </li><li>Communication skills, verbal and written </li><li>Ability to follow-up on inquiries in a timely manner </li><li>Proficiency in MS Office </li><li>Ability to learn the internal maintenance and tracking system for accurate documentation </li><li>Ability to identify common construction materials and equipment </li><li>Ability to provide excellent customer service through positive interaction with customers </li><li>Thorough knowledge of maintenance operations </li><li>Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, both internally and externally </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED or equivalent (Required) </li><li>Apprentice program or Vocational/Technical degree with equipment repair emphasis (Preferred) </li><li>In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>2+ years equipment operation, maintenance, or repair experience (Preferred) </li></ul> <p>Working Environment</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds </li><li>May require periods of overnight travel </li><li>May be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold) </li><li>Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Climbing, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling </li><li>Occasional activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen </li></ul> <p>Benefits Information</p> <p>The benefits package aligned to this position is Professional Non-Union.
