<p>Kforce's client, a leading produce wholesaler based in the Bronx, NY, is seeking a Director of Human Resources.</p> <p>Summary: This company serves a diverse client base across the region. With over 400 employees and continued growth, they operate in a fast-paced, logistics-driven environment. As they expand, they are formalizing their HR function to strengthen compliance, scalability, and employee engagement. This experienced, hands-on Director of Human Resources will build and lead their HR function. This is a new role created to provide strategic direction, ensure compliance, and support our company's next stage of growth.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations </li><li>Design and implement scalable HR systems, policies, and processes </li><li>Partner with leadership on workforce planning, budgeting, and organizational design </li><li>Lead and mentor a capable HR team to deliver operational excellence and strategic impact </li><li>Foster a strong, positive, and performance-driven workplace culture </li><li>Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on employee relations, engagement, and talent strategy* Proven experience as an HR leader in compliance, employee relations, and HR operations </li><li>Strong track record of implementing and managing HRIS platforms (UKG experience preferred) </li><li>Financial acumen with comfort in budgeting and workforce cost planning </li><li>Analytical, data-driven mindset paired with high emotional intelligence </li><li>Background in unionized, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred </li><li>Ability to connect with teams across all levels-from warehouse and logistics to sales and administration </li></ul>
