<p>Kforce has a client seeking a Systems Engineer in Miami, FL (Florida).</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the full system lifecycle of physical security solutions: including architecture design, configuration, deployment, integration, performance tuning, and operational handoff </li><li>Evaluate technical requirements and translate business needs into secure, scalable, and supportable system architectures </li><li>Configure and maintain Windows and Linux-based server environments for hosting video surveillance, door access controllers, and supporting backend systems </li><li>Integrate third-party systems (e.g., CCTV platforms, RFID lock systems, access management software) using?standard protocols and APIs (e.g., ONVIF, REST, SNMP) </li><li>Design and implement secure IP networking configurations, including VLAN segmentation, routing policies, and NAT/firewall rules for video and access control systems </li><li>Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network schematics, data flow diagrams, and deployment runbooks </li><li>Collaborate with internal IT, security, and facilities engineering teams to ensure compliance with security policies, data protection standards, and system uptime SLAs* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience </li><li>3+ years in a systems engineering or infrastructure implementation role with hands-on experience deploying enterprise IT or physical security systems </li><li>Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux OS administration, including services configuration, hardening, and performance tuning </li><li>Solid understanding of IP networking, including Layer 2/3, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, NAT, and network security principles </li><li>Experience working with third-party system integrations, including software APIs, SDKs, or custom interfaces </li><li>Ability to interpret and produce data flow diagrams, network schematics, and system interaction models </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and make technical decisions with minimal supervision </li></ul>
