<p>Job Title:</p> <p>Field Project Manager</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Hybrid - St. Louis, MO</p> <p>FLSA Classification</p> <p>Non-exempt</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Orbital is seeking a Field Project Manager to support the execution of Asset Integrity and Asset Management programs across client facilities in the Greater St. Louis, MO Region. This role is responsible for leading day-to-day field execution of inspection and engineering activities while ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and data integrity.</p> <p>The Field Project Manager collaborates with the Asset Management Program Manager or Senior Project Manager, field crews, technical support teams, and client site contacts to achieve program goals, coordinate field operations, and act as Orbital's on-site representative during inspections and assessments. This role requires being present in the field and actively coordinating with inspectors, engineers, and client staff in the St. Louis, MO Region.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Field Execution & Project Delivery</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage and coordinate field execution of Asset Management and Asset Integrity projects, including structural and other infrastructure inspections</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as the primary on-site point of contact during field activities, ensuring alignment with project scope, safety requirements, and client expectations</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate daily field activities, including access planning, scheduling, and logistics across multiple assets and facilities</p> </li><li> <p>Track field progress and communicate status, issues, and risks to the Program Manager</p> </li></ul> <p>Inspection & Technical Support</p> <ul> <li> <p>Support inspection planning efforts, including inspection scopes, asset boundaries, and inspection levels</p> </li><li> <p>Review field inspection data, photographs, and notes for completeness, clarity, and adherence to established standards</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with the preparation and review of inspection reports, findings, and supporting documentation</p> </li><li> <p>Provide technical input to engineering teams supporting repair recommendations or follow-up evaluations</p> </li></ul> <p>Safety, Quality & Standards</p> <ul> <li> <p>Enforce Orbital safety policies and client safety requirements during all field activities</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure field work is executed in accordance with Orbital's Quality Management System (QMS), inspection procedures, and client-specific standards</p> </li><li> <p>Promote consistency and repeatability in inspection execution, documentation, and data collection across facilities</p> </li><li> <p>Identify opportunities for improving field efficiency, inspection methods, and data quality</p> </li></ul> <p>Team & Client Coordination</p> <ul> <li> <p>Coordinate the work of field inspectors, technicians, and subcontractors</p> </li><li> <p>Support mentoring and oversight of junior field staff and inspectors</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain professional working relationships with client operations, maintenance, and engineering personnel</p> </li><li> <p>Escalate technical, safety, or execution concerns to the Program Manager as appropriate</p> </li></ul> <p>Other Duties</p> <ul> <li>Please note that this job posting does not list all duties and responsibilities that are required of this job. Must be comfortable working in active industrial environments and following all safety requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>While performing the duties of this job, employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme cold, and extreme heat.</p> </li><li> <p>Noise levels are usually moderate.</p> </li><li> <p>Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform essential job functions.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Structural, Mechanical, or Civil) or equivalent combination of education and field-based Asset Integrity experience</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of 5-8 years of experience supporting Asset Integrity, inspection, or Asset Management projects in industrial environments</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in asset-intensive industries such as power generation, oil & gas, refining, chemical processing, manufacturing, steel, mining, or materials processing</p> </li><li> <p>TWIC card holder preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Prior experience supporting Asset Management, Asset Integrity, Mechanical Integrity (MI), or Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) programs is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with digital inspection tools, databases, and asset tracking platforms is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Previous experience working in a consulting engineering or inspection environment is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Strong field leadership skills with the ability to manage crews, schedules, and site logistics</p> </li><li> <p>Working knowledge of inspection methodologies, asset condition assessments, and reporting practices</p> </li><li> <p>Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly related to field coordination and reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to travel regularly to other regional client sites</p> </li></ul> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>$85,000 - $130,000 annually (based on experience, qualifications, and location)</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>A commitment to excellence and hard work will be rewarded with a competitive salary, career advancement opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial security, and work-life balance.
