<p>Job Summary</p> <p>At Richelieu Foods we are making Great Food from Great People!</p> <p>The Repack Lead is responsible to provide direction for the people and related business procedures that deliver the efficient flow of material within the plant; measured from the time the Variants arrive at the facility, until the time finished goods are loaded for distribution. This is a hands-on role, not a desk-based position.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Executes labor plan, training and supporting staff using hands-on leadership techniques while supporting a safe, performance-based environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures proper FEFO rotation and manufacturability needs (i.e., tempering, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinates material flow processes that allow for the delivery of the right material to the right place at the right time.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains staging locations for each material, by line, for both inbound and put away.</p> </li><li> <p>Executes expectations and measures results for staging materials at the line that aligns to achieving < .5% downtime (attributed to material handling.)</p> </li><li> <p>Executes put-away procedures for left over raw/pack material from production runs, aligning with FEFO rotation practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Executes procedures for the proper configuration, palletizing, wrapping, labeling, and loading of all finished goods to allow for proper transfer to Distribution Center(s).</p> </li><li> <p>Executes the plant safety program by being a champion for safety and treating it as a priority.</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as back up supervisor as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilizing ERP (Just Foods) system for maintaining records of material movement and accuracy</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for handling shipping transactions for finished goods.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining and keeping organized records of all output and transfers completed at facility.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for input of receipt and management of inbound transfers of product.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and keep organized records of closed purchase orders, inbound shipment documentation, transfers and returns in and out of facility and outside warehouses.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain and keep organized records of closed purchase orders, inbound shipment documentation, transfers in and out of facility and outside warehouses</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies.</p> </li><li> <p>Supporting internal stakeholders in ensuring continuous flow of materials:</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Inventory Control Specialist with inventory accuracy systematically.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist internal Customer Support team in locating requested raw materials and finished goods.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in coordinating the movement of trailers to and from outside warehouses and distribution centers.</p> </li><li> <p>Supporting outside warehouses/carriers to ensure proper documentation and communication is timely and accurate to ensure precise inventory.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain error logs as it pertains to outside warehouses and vendors.</p> </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of three years of experience in warehousing, material handling or materials management in a manufacturing environment. </li><li>Two years of lead experience in another company or demonstration of leadership ability for internal transfers. </li><li>In depth knowledge of material handling processes, SOP's and related tools including ERP (Just Foods). </li><li>Forklift certification required. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience in the food industry. </li><li>Demonstrated capability to lead and mentor a team of 15-25 people. </li><li>Bilingual English/Spanish helpful. </li></ul> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to work independently. </li><li>Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. </li><li>Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 75 lbs. occasionally. </li><li>Must be able to pass forklift exam and be able to properly operate a forklift and related equipment. </li><li>Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Must be able to trouble shoot, analyze, and problem solve in a short period of time. </li><li>Must be able to communicate in a clear and consistent manner. </li><li>The ability to make decisions based on limited information. </li><li>Teamwork Orientation - ability to teach and train, with a high energy level and diligent work ethic. </li><li>Must exhibit Ethical Conduct. </li><li>Ability to provide clear direction and instruction in a matrix environment. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal, communication and strong leadership skills. </li><li>Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy. </li><li>Ability to work in a variety of climates and conditions; factory/warehouse facilities that are hot in the summer and cold in the winter; in freezers and coolers year-round. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial truck. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the duration of the production shift; talk or hear; use hands or finger to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is infrequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
