We are 140+ dedicated professionals based in various locations across the globe</p> <p>You will become part of the Indirect team, consisting of people currently located in Denmark and Poland, managing a global spend of 290 MEUR covering areas such as Digital, Facility, Travel, Marketing, Waste handling, Industrial Cleaning, Development Projects, Material Handling Equipment, Professional Services as well as supporting our development of industry 4.0 manufacturing and further digitalization.</p> <p>What you will be doing</p> <p>As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for strategic management of the assigned global portfolio according to the agreed E2E procurement process. Contribute to profitability, secure supply and mitigate risks to ROCKWOOL in close cooperation with the factories of ROCKWOOL. You will support the global strategies for your categories; have a key focus on securing optimal supplier choice while focusing on sustainability in the procurement process to ensure we live up to our guidelines both regarding Human Rights and Environmental impact.</p> <p>The assigned responsibility areas (portfolio) are:</p> <ul> <li>Facility - Central Eastern Europe (CEE), UK, Southern Europe (LAT) </li><li>Industrial Cleaning </li><li>Material Handling Equipment </li><li>Raw material handling on site </li></ul> <p>Your main tasks will be:</p> <ul> <li>Establishing in-depth knowledge within the category on spend, segmentation, suppliers, relevant market trends and risks via networking with internal and external subject matter experts in order to recommend on required action/business plans and solid budget forecasts </li><li>Ensure sustainable sourcing within the assigned areas with key focus on Human rights and Environmental impact </li><li>Lead Cross-functional competence centres within assigned areas according to the strategies for communication, volume bundling, lean sourcing and best practice sharing </li><li>Cooperate with Key stakeholders (OPCO/Group Functions and GSP Regional organization) to ensure alignment on sourcing activities and projects on scope, timeline and expected benefits </li><li>Participate in cross functional projects to develop the procurement function to a more mature level and to influence policies and local strategies </li><li>Develop a 5-quarter rolling activity plan based on the category strategies and the stakeholders' needs </li><li>Churn all spend in the assigned area minimum once every 3rd year to ensure competitive conditions </li><li>Run sourcing activities according to the category strategies for the assigned area by collaboration with the Strategic Sourcing Team and the regional Purchasing team </li><li>Collect and communicate market information to relevant stakeholders </li><li>Prepare regular updates/communications (minimum quarterly) for key stakeholders on achievements and coming activities planned </li><li>Support non category colleagues in procurement activities to ensure competitive results here under sharing good procurement practices </li><li>You may expect to travel around 30 days per year </li></ul> <p>What you bring</p> <p>We are looking for a colleague who is open-minded to new tasks and pro-active thinking.</p> <p>You remain confident during negotiations and when dealing with stakeholders and you use your strong communication skills to work across the organization in a collaborative manner. You are a strong team player and at the same time master the ability to work independently. Stakeholder management is second nature for you.</p> <p>Moreover, we imagine you have:</p> <ul> <li>Commercial business education (or similar) and Procurement experience obtained by working with Category management / procurement activities </li><li>Procurement experience including strategy, contracting, negotiation and tenders globally (ideally 5+ years) </li><li>Great communication skills, having the ability to clearly convey information and expectations to both internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Ability to work within challenging or changing timelines and deadlines </li><li>Strong motivation to find opportunities and create results in a fast-changing business environment and at the same time be able to communicate the strategy and the tactical steps we need to take to create the best possible results for our company </li><li>Proficient user-knowledge of IT systems </li><li>Fluency in English is a must </li><li>Driver's license </li></ul> <p>What we offer:</p> <p>By joining our team, you become a part of the people-centric work environment of a Danish company.
