CBA</p> <p>Pay Rate: In accordance with the D.T.A Salary Schedule</p> <p>Reports To: Assistant Superintendent/Principal/Assistant Principal of Technical Affairs.</p> <p>Summary of Job Description: The Health Assisting Program places a strong emphasis on</p> <p>preparing students for careers in the health field through instruction in the therapeutic,</p> <p>diagnostic, and administrative areas of health care. There is a focus in Nurse Assisting and</p> <p>Medical Office Assisting. The instructor also supervises students at clinical experiences in area</p> <p>health care facilities.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher degree related to the subject matter and skills to be taught </li><li>Three years of full-time employment experience directly related to health assisting </li><li>Possession of current Massachusetts license as a registered nurse (RN) </li><li>The required bachelor's degree or higher degree would include at least 30 credits in subject matter related to the technical strand of the Vocational Technical Education Framework in health assisting*. A person with a bachelor's or higher degree without 30 credits in such subject matter must obtain 30 college credits in order to receive credit toward the licensure requirements for the required bachelor's or higher degree related to the subject matter and skills to be taught. </li><li>A master's degree may substitute for one of the three years of required employment experience, provided that the degree includes subject matter related to the Technical Knowledge and Skills strand (Strand 2) of the Vocational Technical Education Framework in Health Assisting*, and/or in vocational education. </li><li>Instruction will be in accordance with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Vocational Technical Education Frameworks for Health Assisting. </li></ul> <p>Job Description: https://drive.google.com/file/d/17kQgwuvmXkoafFxLQZRk0dv4PZ97IYac/view?usp=sharing</p> <p>Applicants must comply in accordance with Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education</p> <p>licensing requirements</p>
