<p>Essential Duties</p> <ol> <li>Assumes primary responsibility for a program, service, activity, operation or function in an assigned area. Develops objectives, practice and procedure and identifies resources to ensure accomplishment of operational goals. 2. Coordinates day-to-day operations in order to achieve designated goals. Ensures effective management and leads the development and implementation of best practices. 3. Designs and implements quality control metrics to identify areas of risk. Analyzes, recommends, and implements strategic solutions to minimize risk. 4. Develops a variety of complex report and other written materials. 5. Provides guidance to and collaboration with internal and external partners as necessary. 6. Develops, oversees and monitors budgets. 7. Develops and maintains specialized training. 8. For additional information on the background check requirements and process visit "Learn about background checks" under the Applicant Support Resources section of Careers on the It's Your Yale website.</p> <p>Position Focus:</p> <p>Reporting to the Lead Administrator of the Departments of Neuroscience and Physiology, this position will be responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of educational, communication and event activities for the Departments to include:</p> <p>Education: oversight of the graduate program in Physiology track of the TMMPP (Translational Molecular Medicine, Pharmacology and Physiology program, 2 Neuroscience training grants (T32) in Multimodal Delineation of Neurodegenerative Mechanisms and Neurobiology of Cortical Systems along with support of the Neuroscience Connections to the World Training Course "Structural and Functional Organization of the Human Nervous System". Serve as the primary point of contact for all Physiology TMMPP students in the duties of prospective, admitted, and matriculated students including managing recruitment of new students, admissions process support, orientation, registration of classes and placement and or adjustments.</p> <p>Communications: Planning, editing, collecting inputs and managing communications and distributions for the Departments including managing list serves, website maintenance, social media sites, newsletters and other methods of communication.</p> <p>Events Management: Scheduling, resource planning, evaluation, and promotion of regular lectures, seminars, speakers and lectures for the Departments including Research in Progress, Synapses, Named Lectureships and associated dinners and receptions.
