Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.</p> <p>As the Accounts Payable Clerk II, you will be responsible for supporting the Lead Accounts Payable Clerk in performing tasks related to mostly non-purchase order-based invoices.</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Adhere to Fiscal Services department goals and objectives consistent with the Hospital's strategic and operating plans. </li><li>Adhere to a strong internal control environment. </li><li>Ability to meet deadlines, work well with co-workers, other departments of the hospital, and vendors. </li><li>Enter and code a high volume of invoices. </li><li>Research/resolves invoice discrepancies with vendors. </li><li>Review vendors' monthly statements; check for accuracy; ensure all invoices/credits have been received by accounting. </li><li>Manage a high volume of emails from the Accounts Payable general email account. </li><li>Complete check runs for the hospital and its affiliates. </li><li>Monitor the "received not invoice" system report daily and ensure the total balance is always kept within reasonable limits. </li><li>Assist in the preparation, filing, and mailing of 1099-MISC tax forms. </li><li>Perform periodic deposits for miscellaneous cash receipts. </li><li>Provide documentation to Accounting Supervisor, Assistant Controller, and Controller and/or auditors to support transactions. </li><li>Other occasional administrative duties and special projects as assigned by the AP Lead Clerk, Accounting Supervisor, and/or Assistant Controller. </li><li>Maintains EDI invoicing procedures. </li><li>Completes PFS patient refund payments. </li><li>2nd Admin to manage the Yooz invoicing system. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Associates degree in Accounting or Business, or significant accounts payable experience. </li><li>At least 1 year accounts payable experience </li><li>Strong Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Internet research skills. </li><li>Strong written and oral communication. </li><li>Proficiency with email. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree. </li><li>Experience working in an organization that uses purchase orders. </li></ul> <p>Merrimack Health is a private, non-profit community hospital providing the Merrimack Valley & southern New Hampshire regions with patient-centered, compassionate, and quality health care for the whole family.
