<p>DESCRIPTION</p> <p>Within Amazon MGM Studios, the TV Strategy team is seeking a highly analytical and strategic thinker to join as a Content Strategy Manager in Culver City, CA.</p> <p>This role will play a crucial part in shaping the future of Amazon MGM Studios by helping define and execute on our Content Strategy for Original Series on Prime Video. This includes a focus on performance tracking, content valuation, and the facilitation of Original Series greenlight and renewal decisions. The role will require identifying key drivers of title performance, building recommendations for investment decisions, and optimizing the overall content portfolio to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. In addition to title-specific analysis, this role will help manage the improvement of our content valuation frameworks, will deliver deep analytical insights about our content portfolio, and will lead broad strategy workstreams. To do so, the Strategy Manager will work closely with senior leaders across creative development, production, business affairs, finance, programming, and marketing functions, and will have a high degree of visibility within the organization. Given this cross-functional collaboration, the Strategy Manager will be expected to earn a high degree of trust with senior leaders and communicate effectively with this audience.</p> <p>We are seeking a candidate who has a strong analytical and financial skillset, a demonstrated passion for the media and entertainment business, and an ability to clearly communicate findings to senior leadership. The ideal candidate has a balance of hard and soft skills; they enjoy solving complex analytical problems, they build strong relationships with creative partners, and they thrive in a fast-paced environment that is constantly evolving.</p> <p>Key job responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Analyze Prime Video viewership data to surface insights that inform senior leadership decisions on content strategy and investment </li><li>Lead evaluation of Original Series under consideration for greenlight and renewal, synthesizing creative context, financial models, and strategic fit </li><li>Serve as a knowledge center and champion of improvements in economic modelling, performance forecasting, and reporting frameworks, continuously evolving internal tools and methodologies to sharpen decision-making and improve team efficiency </li><li>Author high-impact strategy documents that shape the direction of Prime Video's Series slate, including recommendations on slate planning, content investments, new business models, and 'think big' opportunities </li></ul> <p>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate strategy, or a similar role within the media and entertainment industry </li><li>Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred </li><li>Proven analytical skills, including experience using complex modeling to inform key business decisions </li><li>Experience leading high-impact projects in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to senior leadership </li><li>Ability to work effectively with a high degree of autonomy </li><li>Candidates must be highly proficient in Excel; knowledge of SQL an asset </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in television or film content strategy, or in a similar fast-paced, high-impact role in the media and entertainment industry </li><li>Passion for television and the business of entertainment- Meets/exceeds Amazon's leadership principles requirements for this role </li><li>Meets/exceeds Amazon's functional/technical depth and complexity requirements for this role </li></ul> <p>Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.</p> <p>Los Angeles County applicants: Job duties for this position include: work safely and cooperatively with other employees, supervisors, and staff; adhere to standards of excellence despite stressful conditions; communicate effectively and respectfully with employees, supervisors, and staff to ensure exceptional customer service; and follow all federal, state, and local laws and Company policies. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $154,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
