<p>School Nurse JobID: 1437</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Student Support Services/School Nurse</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>7/30/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Brookfield High School</p> <p>Date Available:</p> <p>08/28/2025</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Brookfield Public Schools is looking for an excellent School Nurse for Brookfield High School.</p> <p>This is a full time position- 187 days</p> <p>General Tasks include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in school nursing and in First aid, Sports injuries, and Minor trauma. </li><li>Provide medical care to pupils, members of staff and to visitors while on site. </li><li>Promote health education throughout the School community. </li><li>Perform health screenings, coordinate referrals, maintain children with chronic health problems, and act as a first responder to emergencies. </li><li>Skill in concussion protocol, crisis intervention for acute illnesses and emotional disturbances. </li><li>Participate in revision of school health policies and procedures, and implementation of the school medication policy. </li><li>Educate faculty in blood borne illnesses, seizure precautions, and epi-pen administration. </li><li>Teach First Aid and Safety to faculty and students. </li><li>Manage difficult medical emergencies involving student injury and provide immediate first aid. </li><li>Work closely with the Medical Advisor, Administration, School Counselors and School Social Worker </li></ul> <p>Starting Salary - $41.40/ hour</p> <p>Candidate must hold a current RN License from the State of Connecticut and at least 1 year of current experience to be considered for this position.</p> <p>Brookfield Public Schools is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse work environment.
