<p>HVAC Mechanical Checker</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The HVAC Mechanical Designer is responsible for reviewing the calculations and drawings of designers assigned to various projects. This role involves managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality design output, and training designers to minimize future errors.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Review calculations and drawings of assigned designers on multiple projects. </li><li>Oversee the plumbing aspects of projects with a dedicated plumbing designer. </li><li>Identify and address knowledge gaps in designers and provide training to reduce future errors. </li><li>Perform calculations, review drawings, and redline any mistakes or missing items. </li><li>Manage project drawing revisions from code and city reviews. </li><li>Coordinate projects and ensure design work aligns with customer requirements. </li><li>Run all necessary calculations to verify the accuracy of designers' work. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD. </li><li>Experience in project coordination and management. </li><li>Proficiency in HVAC, plumbing, and MEP design. </li><li>Ability to manage and review retail and restaurant projects. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with fast turn-around projects such as retail or restaurant rollouts. </li><li>Proficiency in Revit is a plus but not required. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position offers a fully remote work environment for employees not local to St. Louis, with up to 75% of the team working remotely. Local employees are required to be in the office only two days every other week, totaling four days per month.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.</p> <p>Health Insurance</p> <p>All full time Associates are entitled/provided Group Insurance through a company program.</p> <p>Company pays 100% of the monthly premium for full time Associates. Associates are responsible</p> <p>for paying a portion (set amount determined by the company) of the additional coverage for</p> <p>spouse and families. Associates are eligible and make the choice to enroll on the first of the</p> <p>following month after their 30th day of employment.</p> <p>Dental Insurance</p> <p>All full time Associates are entitled/provided Group Insurance through a company program. The</p> <p>employee pays 100% of the premium for themselves and their dependents. Associates are</p> <p>eligible and make the choice to enroll on the first of the following month after their 30th day of</p> <p>employment.</p> <p>AFLAC Insurance</p> <p>All full time Associates are entitled/provided AFLAC Insurance through a company program.</p> <p>The employee pays 100% of the premium through payroll deduction for themselves and their</p> <p>dependents. Associates are eligible and make the choice to enroll on the first of the following</p> <p>month after their 30th day of employment.</p> <p>Disability Insurance</p> <p>Company pays 100% of both a short and long term disability policy along with a life insurance</p> <p>policy for all eligible Associates. Eligibility begins after the 90 days of employment.</p> <p>Retirement Plan</p> <p>After 1 year of continuous employment, Associates are eligible to participate in the company</p> <p>sponsored 401K plan for tax deferred retirement savings. Eligible employees will be able to</p> <p>participate in the program on January 1st or July 1st following eligibility.</p> <p>Holidays</p> <p>Company recognizes the 6 major holidays. Employees are eligible for Holiday pay after their 90</p> <p>days of employment.</p> <p>PTO (Paid Time Off)</p> <p>The amount of PTO time which an employee is entitled to is dependent upon their length of</p> <p>continuous full-time service as follows:</p> <p>Years of Continuous Full-Time Service PTO Time Earned</p> <p>Less than one year Prorated (after 90 days)</p> <p>1 year to 4 years 15 working days</p> <p>5 years to 9 years 20 working days</p> <p>10 years or more 25 working days</p> <p>PTO Birthday</p> <p>Eligible after 90 days - a single day on or near your birthday.
