<p>The Marketing Manager performs a variety of functions in support of Old National Event Plaza's Marketing Department. The role includes leading marketing initiatives aimed at achieving the short-term and long-term business development goals of the Old National Events Plaza. This position focuses on, but is not limited to, internal and external communications, customer service functions, and marketing tasks to drive awareness of the venues and the events they produce.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIRES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Leads marketing initiatives including branding updates for the venue, target market e- blasts, website monitoring and revisions, social media management, and promotional updates.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with the Director of Sales to develop social media initiatives of the venue, including the development of new social media profiles.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in content development and planning, driving branded marketing and reporting analytical data.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in planning, development, and management of annual communications calendars to improve internal and external venue communications.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize Adobe programs to design, edit, and create content both in digital and print.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in designing advertising and promotional materials used to promote the facility and drive sales.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists all venue Directors with the development and implementation of marketing additional business opportunities, such as sponsorships, entitlements, and internal events to drive additional revenue streams.</p> </li><li> <p>Manages the needs of promoters regarding pre-show, on-site and follow-up entertainment event tasks to drive the success of theatre shows.</p> </li><li> <p>Partners with the Director of Sales to develop Venue Sales and Marketing Plan.</p> </li><li> <p>Carries out marketing activities according to the objectives outlined in the specified sales and marketing plan.</p> </li><li> <p>Reports on marketing functions as required to aid in retargeting departmental goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Partners with General Manager to identify professional goals and opportunities for professional development.</p> </li><li> <p>Limited travel as necessary for professional development related to venue marketing services.</p> </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>This position has no direct supervisory duties within the Marketing Department. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations or related field preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum 2 years of marketing-related experience required.</p> </li><li> <p>Facility/industry experience preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>SKILLS AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Excellent customer service skills as well as attention to detail</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to communicate effectively with varied groups and individuals written and orally</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent organizational, planning, and inter-personal skills</p> </li></ul> <p>COMPUTER SKILLS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite required (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with graphic design and/or email marketing programs, such as Constant Contact, is a plus.</p> </li></ul> <p>OTHER QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to work irregular hours in addition to normal business hours as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Some travel as needed for professional development</p> </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
