<p>The Prince George County Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Police Accreditation Manager (non-hazardous duty civilian position). This position will be responsible for overseeing the accreditation process, collaborating with the Police Department to formulate, implement and communicate policies and procedures, managing the department's state accreditation process to include compliance, training and various types of presentations to department personnel and conducts regular reviews with appropriate staff to revise department policy and procedure manuals to ensure standard operating procedures are reliable and up-to-date and meet all current Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission (VLEPSC), legislative mandates and judicial rulings. Provides software management, vendor relationship management, and light information technology support. </p> <p>For a complete job description, please click here.Advanced knowledge and understanding of the standards and expectations of the Virginia Law Enforcement Professional Standards Commission (VLEPSC). Prior experience with Power DMS computer software, to include the ability to show proficiency in the administration of the software. Must have excellent organizational and project management skills and attention to detail; ability to analyze and resolve problems; and ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.Minimum of an Associate's degree and three years of progressively responsible administrative and/ or management work experience; and two years of experience working as a Law Enforcement Accreditation Manager or an Assistant to a Law Enforcement Accreditation Manager.
