Take advantage of our tuition assistance and scholarship programs to grow both personally and professionally.</p> <p>Mechanic Position Summary</p> <p>Installs, inspects, operates and repairs items of machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications, using hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. Performs general building maintenance. Provides exceptional workmanship and quality services: to all patients, visitors, staff, contractors and other "customers". Presents self in a professional manner and willing to assist and complete other duties as assigned. Through a constant pursuit of excellence and respect for every individual, fosters an environment of participation, teamwork and professional growth.</p> <p>Mechanic Position Requirements</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High school graduate or G.E.D equivalent. </li><li>Mechanical field technical courses, preferred. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Four years experience as a maintenance mechanic is required. </li><li>Building/Facility maintenance is preferred. </li><li>Although not a requirement of the position, if an individual is a licensed driver, the employee shall be available to drive for department needs which will require a valid driver's license and verification of insurability under Peninsula Regional Medical Center's automobile insurance plan. </li></ul> <p>Mechanic Work Schedule</p> <ul> <li>Assigned. to day/evening shifts, Monday through Friday. </li><li>Participates in weekend coverage rotation </li><li>Expected to work overtime on occasion and to respond to emergency calls if needed. </li></ul> <p>Mechanic Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>At TidalHealth, team members working at least 36 hours per pay period based on 12-hour shift schedules or at least 37.5 hours for non 12-hour shift schedules and part-time team members working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.</p> </li><li> <p>Benefits include medical, prescription, vision, dental, flexible spending accounts, disability insurance plans, life insurance, paid time off plans, retirement plans, tuition assistance, employee assistance, and access to on-site childcare and a credit union.</p> </li></ul> <p>Salary range: $19.51 - $29.27 Commensurate with experience</p>
