<p>Camp Jack Counselor - In Training</p> <p>Pay Stipend</p> <p>Temporary position - 32 hours.</p> <p>SUMMARY: The Jack Rua Camp for Children with Type 1 Diabetes (Camp Jack) Counselor-in-Training</p> <p>(C.I.T.) supports camp staff and campers under the guidance of the Camp Counselors, Camp Director</p> <p>and Camp Leadership Team. This workforce development opportunity is designed to help young leaders</p> <p>build confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and leadership skills within a supportive camp environment.</p> <p>Candidates must be between the ages of 1415 and have attended Camp Jack for at least one prior</p> <p>season. A Type 1 Diabetes diagnosis is preferred but not required; however, priority consideration will</p> <p>be given to applicants living with T1D.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Attend mandatory orientation sessions, diabetes training, and educational programming as</p> <p>required</p> <p>Act as a role model for program participants</p> <p>Assist with implementation of scheduled camp activities</p> <p>Assist camp staff with daily camper support responsibilities, including snack distribution and</p> <p>helping campers retrieve lunches from designated refrigerated areas when assigned.</p> <p>Maintain a safe, clean, and organized camp environment by completing rotating daily tasks such</p> <p>as trash removal, sanitizing eating and activity areas,</p> <p>Monitoring and restocking water stations</p> <p>assisting with end-of-day cabin cleanup procedures.</p> <p>Enforce program safety rules and maintain a safe and clean environment</p> <p>Report all concerns to the Camp Director or Camp Jack Leadership.</p> <p>Participate in all program staff meetings and all required training sessions, including Agency and</p> <p>in-service training sessions, as scheduled</p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to provide current copy of required health records </li><li>Ability to interact in a professional manner with campers and coworkers </li><li>Ability to follow policy and instruction </li><li>Must be between the ages of 14-15 years old. </li><li>Ability to provide a Massachusetts Youth Workers Permit </li></ul> <p>Join us! #peoplewithapurpose</p> <p>People Incorporated is committed to an inclusive and diverse work environment.
